Notes
This work maybe a study for the larger painting, The Inlet, Gloucester, #1196. It has been in the same family collection for over 75 years. It was purchased by an uncle, who worked for BonFoey Galleries until 1935 during the time the Cleveland Gallery of Art was established. It has been cleaned and restored in 2018 by BonFoey Galleries in Cleveland, Ohio, who are still in existence today.
