About the catalogue
The Folinsbee Catalogue Raisonné embraces all types of media, including oil, prints, watercolor, charcoal, and pen and ink. The Catalogue is primarily a web-based publication, providing a current and easily accessible resource for scholars and collectors. Folinsbee Considered, a selected catalogue of major works accompanied by the first scholarly examination of the artist's career, was published by Hudson Hills Press in 2013.
The web provides an opportunity for those interested in the work of John Folinsbee to have access to the broad spectrum of his work not available in any hard-copy publication. It is the objective of the Trust to make images of Folinsbee's work as well as other information, such as exhibitions and provenance, available as soon as it became known, rather than taking several years to publish it. As such, it is important to recognize that information is added and the catalogue modified as new information comes to light. Should you have information about a particular work that is not reflected in the catalogue, we would like to hear from you.
