Notes

Dorothy McCutcheon (Grandy) was Folinsbee's cousin and the model in two small landscape sketches (JFF.822 and JFF.823) now in the collection of the Gunn Memorial Museum. The inscription by Sarah Howland was probably written a few years after 1913, when Dorothy was married; Reid Grandy was her daughter.
