While there is no mention of this painting in Folinsbee's early log book, in 1916 Dr. Watson purchased another 16 x 20 (Shad Bloom, currently unlocated) from the artist's exhibition at the Rochester Gallery. It is assumed that this painting also dates from approximately the same period, ca. 1915-20, when Folinsbee was actively exhibiting in Rochester, New York.
