Ellen Lathrop, was the daughter of the Pennsylvania Impressionist painter, William Langson Lathrop, 1859 - 1938. He was known as the "Founding Father of the New Hope Colony of artists, refered to as the "New Hope School" in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
