Notes

In its review of Folinsbee's show at Ferargil Gallery, where Golden Morning was on view, the New York Times remarked about the painting: "there is an upward lift in the color, an exceptional eloquence in the slow pigment, and you choose that moment in Mr. Folinsbee's art to dwell upon the enjoyment of its rarest charm." (New York Times, 5 March 1922, 85)
